Your Training and Developement Trainees are supported by the Trainee Panel. In your first seat you will have a second year trainee “buddy” to help you settle in and, in your second seat, you will be able to choose a mentor from other members of the Pritchard Englefield team.
You will be released and paid to complete the three compulsory Law Society Professional Skills Courses and the electives you choose at regular intervals throughout your two year training period. You will also be encouraged to further your personal development through internal and external courses.
Your progress will be monitored and appraised after three and six months in each of your seats. The criteria for the interactive appraisals include written and linguistic skills, analysis and drafting. Subject to four successful appraisals and the availability of an assistant solicitor position, we hope to be able to retain you in your chosen specialist area at the end of your training contract. |
