I am the Managing Partner and joint head of the Dispute Resolution team and the Sports and Leisure sector team. My emphasis is on sports-related disputes, although I additionally have broad experience of cross-border litigation involving multi-jurisdictional issues. In 2004, I was appointed an Arbitrator in the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland, dealing with Appeals from the International Olympic Committee and other sporting federations. I have also been appointed Visiting Professor to the Insitituto Superior de Derecho y Economica, Madrid, Spain, where I lecture the LLM course in International Sports Law. I am Chairman of the Steering Group of D.A.R.E (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) City of London, and was formerly Deputy Chair of the Trustees of DARE UK , a charity involved in providing drugs education to children as part of Key Stages 2 and 3 of the National Curriculum. For my work with DARE, I was appointed MBE in June 2006. |
